What’s all this, then? The above screengrab, excerpted from a larger grab of the Google News page, may reveal a key feature of Google’s social venture, now reportedly called “Google +1” (formerly “Google Me”). Based on the photo, Google appears to be testing a “Share” button. When TechCrunch contacted Google about this leaked “Share” button, Google responded that the button is part of Google’s attempt at “incorporating social elements across Google.” It may be possible, therefore, to share items only with your Google contacts.
